It's an idea that's been mentioned before (far away, in a thread I can't think of), and I think it is, in principle, a good one.
However, you have to think about how this would be implemented. Would the armour slots be for all classes, or just the ones on your account? Would it be for Elite sets only, or all? How would it cope with combo sets? How many armour sets can you store and for how many characters?
As you can see, lengthy already. I would love a wardrobe for my Necromancer and Ritualist, but I can see the programming difficulties involved, these being what people seem forget when they request such changes.
So, yes to the wardrobe, but it's not happening soon, and will probably have a few bugs if it were to be made.

its a very easy design make it so that any armor on any char can go into it combos or not even 1 piece of it holds all armor no limit in space, it would help alota collectors out there, me for one i have no room on any characters because i buy elite armor and all the greens i can find LOL

the best way to solve that problem and some other problems of this kind is, to solve it with getting finally the Hall of Monuments improved ..
Why make a wardrove tab in the Chest, when the playxer could simpple exchange the armors, you wear with the one you want to waer, by clicking on the statue of you, that wears the armor, that you want to wear.
the HoM storages still the information, that you need to make the exchange with every armor, you put on the monument.
The player would just need only to click on the statue, a pop up windo wil appear then and ask you, if you want to change to the clicked on armor, you say "YES" and BANG, you wear then the armor, that you've clicked ...
I dunno really, why this is not implmented yet, it would improve really the whle game and would solve with this kind of HoM imrpvement lots of different problems ...
This Solution would be also something for the long time Pet Exchange Problem for example.
This Solution would be also something for the Green Weapon Collection Problem and so on ...

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that they never had the intention of making the HoM a storage vault, and they never will. So it's a great idea for how to solve the storage issues, but it isn't going you happen. We will most likely just have to deal with storage characters forever.

individual character access in storage. Make an armor tab keeps up to 4 sets (with all 5 peices), and only that character has access to it. Kinda like a "bag" in your storage

Hey, theres a good idea. "Hey guys, can you wait for like 5 minutes while I travel from DoA to EotN to pick up my sword runed armor?"
*/Sarcasm*
The idea for armor storage how ever is a decent one, I have a complete storage tab dedicated to unused armor when I go out on farming runs.

this is no stupid idea you fool, thats the best way, the whole problem can be solved, it needs only more work, than putting only a new tab into the chest
and your dumb sarcamn sucks, and shows really, what a fool you are, for what the **** gives it the MAP TRAVEL FEATURE ?? ...N***...
its so or so annoying enough, that we can't map travel yet direct somehow into our HoM's, no, we have ever first to warp to the EotN and then walk into the hall -.- ...
Who the **** interests it, how you use your tabs and for what oO ???
signed again, apart from the obvious stupid comment from above >_<
PS: it makes no god damn difference, if you warp now into ur HoM and exchange there your stuff, or if you run to any dumb Xunlai Chests and do it there, but doing it with hoM is the much nicer solution, that looks also much better and it would be finally the start to make similar solutions for other existing problems, like as said Pet Storage, which could be solved on same way.

No, but Armor preview before you buy it would be nice.
Actually, we have Wiki for that.
So just plain no.

Hey, the variables are there. If the set is stored, it should be recreable.
Just changing the set, keeping your current runes, and done.
1. Craft the set.
2. Go to the Wardrobe or to the Hall.
3. Unlock the set, by wearing it and useing the Wardrobe or hall.
4. Done.
Next time you want another set, you go to the wardrobe, select a piece (head, torso, etc) and a set, and it get's replaced. If it was a Blessed Tyrian of Vigor, it turns into a Blessed Krytan of Vigor, for example.

Well, to have the Monument store runes and insignia would be increasing the space burden on the Monument, so we probably wouldn't get that.
What probably could be done is to have a system by which armours placed into the Monument are locked so they can no longer be sold, salvaged for materials, or salvaged without a perfect kit (this is to prevent abuse of the suggestion I'm about to make). After a set of armour is placed in the Monument, a player can retrieve the set at a later time (except headgear, as that would require storing the linked attribute), spawning a copy of each piece that doesn't already have a corresponding piece in their inventory, with the same "no selling or salvaging for profit" rules as for the original pieces.
This way, it would allow players to purchase a set purely for inclusion into the Hall and then "destroy" it (actually representing returning it to the Hall) afterwards, but if they later decide they do want that armour after all it can be retrieved without having to craft it all over again.
(If anyone is interested, the requirement to use a perfect kit is to make sure that people don't get an advantage by having armour pieces which have no penalty for being broken during salvaging, as those pieces could simply be respawned at the Hall. It makes sense from a story perspective that a character would treat anything that goes into the Hall with kid gloves - you can't pass your Vabbian dress down to the great-grandkids if you destroyed it salvaging a superior vigor in your 30s...)

They've got a perfectly viable system already, it would only require adding unlocks for armor. Then use the PVP-toon-style interface for it. It could save on a lot of work.

I know I won't want to get rid of the armor I currently have on my Ranger (mixed ftw!) but I won't want to have her always wearing it once I get the new stuff (So shiny) so this would be a definite great thing for me..
Would hate to have to make a mule...just for armor
